  4. Hello My Favorite Farm Girl!

These brown-eyed Susans are ALMOST as beautiful as you. Radiant, warm, and with beautiful brown eyes. Thanks for brightening my day.
    Hugs,

  5. Hi Geekwif,
They always make me smile, too!

    Hi Mijo,
Thank you. I love the bright colors, too. And the best thing about wildflowers is that they grow and bloom all by themselves! : )

    Hi Amy,
I don't think these are technically black-eyed susans, though they are probably in the same family--sunflower and/or daisy (I need to look this up.) What I usually call black-eyed (or brown-eyed) susans are bigger and have much fewer blooms per plant. These flowers are only about 1-1/2 inches across. I love to see the big, showy masses of them.

    Hi BB,
Hello right back at you, girlfriend! You're too sweet. *blush*

So glad you like the flowers--I was inspired to take my camera with me up on the ridge after you asked about them. I had seen some beautiful displays of blooms while walking up there the day before and was wishing I'd brought the camera. Well, the next morning I'd forgotten a huge rainstorm had come through the previous afternoon. I had the camera this time, but all my beautiful wildflowers had been pelted! That's why, if you look closely at the photo, you'll notice that they all seem to be growing down! : )

    Hi Clare,
There aren't many things nicer than flowers. Well, food, of course. : )
