Phew! All I can say is, I'm sure glad that's done!Oh wait. It's not. There are 120 bales on the trailer that still need to be stacked in the barn. Thanks for all your comments the past few days. I'll be back to respond soon . . .
I love bales of hay.
Bales of hay!! It smells so good. Litte girl, on holidays at my uncle, I helped him to charge his bales of hay. I did not make much, it was too heavy but I liked being present. The evening, I fell asleep profoundly.
*sigh*Such a peaceful thing to look at after I just ranted all over my blog.*sheepish grin*
As part of Food Blog Day 2005, I've mentioned 5 new food blogs (well, new to me...) at my site, and was requested to notify you. Consider yourself notified!
Yep, that spells WEIGHT LOSS to me. And possibly some back pain.
Hi Wendy,I love them, too--once they are stacked in the barn! : )Hi Mijo,They do smell wonderful. Sounds like you have some nice hay memories.Hi Cherrybegonia,Oh, I read your rant. It was funny. Feel free to e-hop over here any time you need a little peaceful scenery. : )Hi David,Thank you so much! I'm flattered. I didn't even know about Food Blog Day 2005 until now. Guess I was out of the loop while in the hay.Hi Michelle,Right on both counts! Let's just say the next morning there was a lot of moaning in the bedroom--and not that kind of moaning! But on the other hand, I felt no guilt whatsoever when I piled the extra bacon (naturally raised by a friend, smoked without nitrates, so little fat I had to add OIL to the pan) on my first BLT of the summer the other night. Thick slices of freshly baked bread, heirloom tomatoes still warm from the sun, lots of Hellman's mayonnaise. . . Yummmmmmm!
