Weekend Dog Blogging #2

Lucky Buddy Bear Happy In His Hay Cubby

After 15 weeks of Weekend Cat Blogging, the dogs have finally been invited to play. This new event is called (not surprisingly) Weekend Dog Blogging. We missed last week's premiere episode, but as you can see, Bear isn't real upset about it. (Nothing gets that dog down except scary thunderstorms, and who can blame him for that? I'd be safely huddled under the house with him if I could wiggle my way down there.) If you'd like to see more fun dog photos and discover yummy new food blogs, head over to Sweetnicks on Sunday night for the complete round-up and links to participants.

  6. Happy puppy in a nice hay stack! I bet he's fun to watch chasing rabbits, dear or other critters on the farm -- so long as its not the "proper farm animals" right? Does he play with Dan the donkey? We had a shepard when I was growing up that would tease the horses we had. Oh... I hate it when I see cars driving down the road with a dog hanging half way out the window or over the shoulder of the truck... all I can think is "One false movement with the paw and your pet becomes a pavement patty!"... ugh!

  7. Hi Angelika,
Yes, he is a great dog--a big help with the sheep, and of course fiercely protects us at night from coyotes and armadillos and monsters. But he's lots of fun, too!

    Hi Jeff,
Thanks and welcome to the farm!

    Hi Geekwif,
    "hug and love them 24/7"
Well, you pretty much summed up my day. : )

    Hi Clare,
    Woof!

    Hi Leigh,
He's definitely a character. 100% purebred Attention Hound!

    Hi JJ,
So nice to hear from you. Yep, you gotta love that smile of his. : )

    Hi Heather,
Hey, looks like the camera is working! Yes, both he and Robin love to chase all kinds of critters, especially when we are walking in the woods. Robin is the real hunter, and I never thought Bear actually caught anything (though he can run like a streak, even while negotiating through the dense woods), but one day I saw him almost get a squirrel and later Robin had it. I found out he does a lot of the leg work for her when I'm not looking. : )

Oh Donkey Doodle Dandy absolutely adores Bear. I am hoping to write a little something about that one of these days. In the meantime, you don't have to worry about Bear or Robin splatted on the pavement, as they never ride anywhere. Robin despises being in the car, and Bear has only traveled anywhere once (well, twice when you count his being delivered down here)--I never thought a dog could look so miserable. They both prefer to run, run, run! : )

I don't want to require commenters to be registered Blogger or Open ID users because I know many of you aren't. Thanks so much for your understanding!
