  2. That is such a quintessential Missouri picture. I can even smell the oak trees!

  3. I love the 'no raking' part! We used to have to rake a huge yard (looks like we had the same trees as you) when we were kids. Of course, we made huge piles and took turns jumping into them before we bagged the leaves. Classic childhood memory, I guess!

  5. OOO.. fun to shuffle thru the bed of leaves! *swish crunch swish crunch* ..... We have pecans here. The deer love to eat them -- middle of the night usually. And all the trees are right up on the house. So we hear *crunch crunch crunch* when they are getting middle of the night snacks. First year here -- it was UN-NERVING! Do you have forest animals that like to enjoy the extra bounty there? Oh! and whatever became of your wasp nest? The huge paper one?

  6. Great picture. I love the crunch of fall leaves (unless of course I have a rake in my hand and then I kind of get mad). This is a great picture.

  7. Is that Bear in the middle of the leaves? Awesome photo. I am so crazy busy right now, that i wish I could just jump and lay in the leaves with Bear.

December 2015 update: Hi! For some reason I can't figure out, Blogger hasn't been letting me leave comments on my own blog (!) for the last several months, so I've been unable to respond to your comments and questions. My apologies for any inconvenience! You're always welcome to email me: farmgirlfare AT gmail DOT com.

Hi! Thanks for visiting Farmgirl Fare and taking the time to write. While I'm not always able to reply to every comment, I receive and enjoy reading them all.

Your feedback is greatly appreciated, and I especially love hearing about your experiences with my recipes. Comments on older posts are always welcome!

Please note that I moderate comments, so if I'm away from the computer it may be a while before yours appears.

I try my best to answer all questions, though sometimes it takes me a few days. And sometimes, I'm sorry to say, they fall through the cracks, and for that I sincerely apologize.

I look forward to hearing from you and hope you enjoy your e-visits to our farm!
