Someone sure likes like King of the Forest :)
That is such a quintessential Missouri picture. I can even smell the oak trees!
I bet you could just lie there and dream and dream and dream....looking up at the sky and the bare trees all around.
I love the 'no raking' part! We used to have to rake a huge yard (looks like we had the same trees as you) when we were kids. Of course, we made huge piles and took turns jumping into them before we bagged the leaves. Classic childhood memory, I guess!
Crunch, crunch, crunch. Can you hear me ? i'm coming. Crunch, crunch, crunch.
OOO.. fun to shuffle thru the bed of leaves! *swish crunch swish crunch* ..... We have pecans here. The deer love to eat them -- middle of the night usually. And all the trees are right up on the house. So we hear *crunch crunch crunch* when they are getting middle of the night snacks. First year here -- it was UN-NERVING! Do you have forest animals that like to enjoy the extra bounty there? Oh! and whatever became of your wasp nest? The huge paper one?
Great picture. I love the crunch of fall leaves (unless of course I have a rake in my hand and then I kind of get mad). This is a great picture.
Is that Bear in the middle of the leaves? Awesome photo. I am so crazy busy right now, that i wish I could just jump and lay in the leaves with Bear.
