  1. It amazes me how much you spring ahead of the northeast. If you had moved to Vermont[my fav. state]you would be blanketed under a new foot of snow in the next couple of days. It's so cold here still.Skunk cabbage is my fist sign that we made it. I love the stinky stuff! Your lamby babes are splendid.Congradulations!

  3. Just looking at your photo, I bet Spring is smelling good. When I lived up north I always new spring arrived when you could smell the wild onions! Always love seeing your lamb babes!

  4. Now there's a peaceful scene that any city slicker could appreciate! I can just see myself sitting on the front porch with a piping hot cup of coffee just taking it all in.

  9. My husband keeps saying "well, are there any new baby lambs tonight?". We are loving these photos!

Our yard look similar to yours. Down toward the barn is a huge area of incredible green. It practically glows in the late-afternoon sun. But it's mostly weeds! Doesn't matter though-- after the cold and snow, it's beautiful to me. :)

  10. My lawn looks fake, too. The worst part was the SNOW on top of the grass this morning.
    At least it melted.

  12. Aww! I love all the little lambies.

What I stopped by to really say though was, that I made your biscotti recipe today and it turned out great. I was so happy since the last time I tried to make biscotti (a different recipe over a year ago) it was a miserable failure. Instead of using just vanilla I used 1 tsp of almond extract and a 1/2 tsp of vanilla. Then when they were done I dipped them in chocolate and rolled them in chopped almonds. It was great.

    Thanks again!

  13. Dear farmgirl. What an idyllic photo. I don't think the grass looks fake at all, just young and fresh.

  15. I love this picture! Very relaxing...
I see that the grass over at your place is as green as it is here in Switzerland.

December 2015 update: Hi! For some reason I can't figure out, Blogger hasn't been letting me leave comments on my own blog (!) for the last several months, so I've been unable to respond to your comments and questions. My apologies for any inconvenience! You're always welcome to email me: farmgirlfare AT gmail DOT com.

Hi! Thanks for visiting Farmgirl Fare and taking the time to write. While I'm not always able to reply to every comment, I receive and enjoy reading them all.

Your feedback is greatly appreciated, and I especially love hearing about your experiences with my recipes. Comments on older posts are always welcome!

Please note that I moderate comments, so if I'm away from the computer it may be a while before yours appears.

I try my best to answer all questions, though sometimes it takes me a few days. And sometimes, I'm sorry to say, they fall through the cracks, and for that I sincerely apologize.
