© Copyright 2009 FarmgirlFare.com, the still frozen and snowed in foodie farm blog where these donkey girls were so caked with icicles the other day that they rattled whenever they moved, and little Evie's eyes were indeed completely blocked out (though she didn't appear to mind). There was no way I could yank the icicles off (I tried), but fortunately not long after I took these photos, the sun came out and magically melted everything away.

  2. Esmeralda looks like she's being all bashfull and such. Very flirty.
I would have to give her some kind of donkey treat.

  7. They are cute. But, they kinda have that look that says" Don't just stand there taking pics, get me something warm!"

  8. Their expressions are priceless! Really, I can identify with the way they feel about sleet and freezing rain. I'd rather have snow.

  10. Hi Susan-Just wanted to thank you for a great bread recipe! I turned out three beautiful loaves of your Farmhouse White today and it is delicious! I posted pictures and a link to A Year in Bread on my blog this evening. My only problem now is to not eat it all!

  11. I'm in south central MO and our son had snow days Tues-Fri last week, but he's back this week. On the radio this morning they were still announcing school closings. Dh was shocked. I thought of you!

  12. That is crazy about the icicles on the animals (and their eyes). They, however, seem to have a better dispositon about it than Marta did the post before.

  13. Your photos, while adorable as always, are making me cold. Well, coldER, anyway. And Lord knows, I do not need any more cold. I think from now until April I'm going to have to limit myself to viewing only photos of green places, like Hawaii and Australia. Okay, no, I won't do that. But still. Cold. Bah.

December 2015 update: Hi! For some reason I can't figure out, Blogger hasn't been letting me leave comments on my own blog (!) for the last several months, so I've been unable to respond to your comments and questions. My apologies for any inconvenience! You're always welcome to email me: farmgirlfare AT gmail DOT com.

Hi! Thanks for visiting Farmgirl Fare and taking the time to write. While I'm not always able to reply to every comment, I receive and enjoy reading them all.

Your feedback is greatly appreciated, and I especially love hearing about your experiences with my recipes. Comments on older posts are always welcome!

Please note that I moderate comments, so if I'm away from the computer it may be a while before yours appears.

I try my best to answer all questions, though sometimes it takes me a few days. And sometimes, I'm sorry to say, they fall through the cracks, and for that I sincerely apologize.

I look forward to hearing from you and hope you enjoy your e-visits to our farm!
