Saturday Extreme Dose of Cute: New Baby Donkey Alert!!

Say Hello to Daphne's Brand New Baby Boy

Talk about cute overload. Is this little guy adorable or what? I'll have more photos of him up hopefully soon—I'm headed back out to see them now. In the meantime, baby and mama Daphne are both doing fine, big sister Evie (who just had her first birthday two weeks ago) is demanding lots of extra hugs and pets, a very proud Donkey Doodle Daddy passed out congratulatory organic carrots to everyone, and I tucked a celebratory bottle of champagne in the fridge.

  1. 5 minutes with your blog sealed the deal I've been battling with for the pat few months: I want to move back to the country.

One photo topped the scale - the quilts on the clothesline.

I believe it's time for me to fly...

  5. Please tell me; do donkeys eat thistles? And might they prefer them to other weeds? If they do, and they are that cute, I'm getting one!

  10. Oh,he is so cute! God must make all baby creatures extra cute so the moms don't reject them. Think this theory applies to humans also.

  14. Guess his name will start with "F"????
If so, it could be Fernando, or Ferdinand (my favorite kids book). But gosh, how about plain ol' Fred??????

  15. so darn cute....My grandchildren helped name eight baby buffalo that were born at Shelby Farms. They too were cute, but, we could not get too close. They voted on Buckley (a steak restaurant), Rufus (a local singer) and top name was Mike Byson....he was cute despite his name.....
    hug Cary for me....
