Sunday Dose of Color and Cute: Bringing in the Sheep Version Two

Rounding up the sheep surrounded by autumn color 1 - FarmgirlFare.com

When it was time to work this group of 17 sheep on Friday, they were once again (that would be Version One) way out at the far end of the front field, grazing in the autumn sun while being guarded by Marta Beast.

More photos below. . .

This time we all decided to hike out and get them.

Certain members of the Mole Patrol kept getting sidetracked.

Once we finally had their attention, herding the sheep into the barn was no problem.

  2. Your color is still clinging to the trees a bit.. many of those limbs are bare already! Love that last shot of doggie delight!

  6. You live in such a gloriously beautiful place. I'm a bit envious every time I see the trees and hills and meadows. Living in the country is one dream that'll never happen for me, so I scratch that itch with visits to blogs like yours.
Love the sheep galloping along like the hounds of hell are on their heels instead of two ambling stock dogs.

  7. Thanks for sharing such beautiful scenery - gorgeous! Looks like you have a lot of fall still! I love the sheep running and the dogs at play - I think we all have 'farm envy' (but I do appreciate that it is very hard work, too!)

    Your photos are wonderful!

  8. I sternly told myself I was NOT going to comment on this post. But I keep coming back to read the title and the date (Sunday) and I can't keep from giggling and singing to myself:

Sowing in the morning, sowing seeds of kindness,
    Sowing in the noontide and the dewy eve;
Waiting for the harvest, and the time of reaping,
We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheep.

Bringing in the sheep, bringing in the sheep,
    We shall come rejoicing,
    bringing in the sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeep.

December 2015 update: Hi! For some reason I can't figure out, Blogger hasn't been letting me leave comments on my own blog (!) for the last several months, so I've been unable to respond to your comments and questions. My apologies for any inconvenience! You're always welcome to email me: farmgirlfare AT gmail DOT com.

Hi! Thanks for visiting Farmgirl Fare and taking the time to write. While I'm not always able to reply to every comment, I receive and enjoy reading them all.

Your feedback is greatly appreciated, and I especially love hearing about your experiences with my recipes. Comments on older posts are always welcome!

Please note that I moderate comments, so if I'm away from the computer it may be a while before yours appears.

I try my best to answer all questions, though sometimes it takes me a few days. And sometimes, I'm sorry to say, they fall through the cracks, and for that I sincerely apologize.
