The songbirds are singing, the wild turkeys are gobbling, the squirrels are scampering, the bees are buzzing, the butterflies are fluttering, the new chicks are peeping, the baby lambs are bouncing, the grass is growing, the seeds are sprouting, the flowers are blooming, and the fireflies are already dancing. Spring has definitely sprung!

© FarmgirlFarm.com, where there sure is a lot going on around the farm this time of year—and my goal is to actually get these posts up during the day, otherwise I need to change the name to Friday Late Night Farm Fix. I'm headed back to the barn for one last lamb check, and then hopefully it's goodnight. Wishing you a beautiful, spring filled weekend!

  1. Seriously beautiful pics. Love the butterfly and the trees -- and the little lambs ganging up on the big dog is so cute! ^__^

  4. For years I have marveled at how all your various animals seem to coexist. Do you ever have a problem with (for example) a cat going after a chicken????
Oh, if only our world could be like your farm

    1. Hi Gramps,
Actually, it's more like a chicken going after a cat - which is always something to see. ;) We do have the occasional inter-species squabbles (and same species squabbles!), but for the most part, our animals all get along amazingly well. Yes, if only everyone could live together that peacefully. . .

  7. I truly enjoy your blog and all the photos, recipes, etc. Don't ever stop! Those little chick photos were a real sensation with my 3 y/o granddaughter and 18 month old grandson. And we ALL adore the donkeys!

Coming to read or look at your photos in the evening after a long day of providing infant day care is sooooo relaxing for me. I also do a lot of research on nutrient-dense nutritional stuff, so I am always on the lookout for recipes, even if I have to alter them somewhat.

    Keep up the great work.

  8. I love the Friday roundup! Thanks for giving us a peek even though you don't have time for the full write-up!
Donkeys are very organized - small to large.
Marta beast looks increasingly feral - maybe the shearer needs to have a go! :)
Peeps are gorgeous as are the spotted lambs.

December 2015 update: Hi! For some reason I can't figure out, Blogger hasn't been letting me leave comments on my own blog (!) for the last several months, so I've been unable to respond to your comments and questions. My apologies for any inconvenience! You're always welcome to email me: farmgirlfare AT gmail DOT com.

Hi! Thanks for visiting Farmgirl Fare and taking the time to write. While I'm not always able to reply to every comment, I receive and enjoy reading them all.

Your feedback is greatly appreciated, and I especially love hearing about your experiences with my recipes. Comments on older posts are always welcome!

Please note that I moderate comments, so if I'm away from the computer it may be a while before yours appears.

I try my best to answer all questions, though sometimes it takes me a few days. And sometimes, I'm sorry to say, they fall through the cracks, and for that I sincerely apologize.

I look forward to hearing from you and hope you enjoy your e-visits to our farm!
