Tail End of the Week: Get Your Friday Farm Fix #24

Welcome to the Friday Farm Fix, where I share a random sampling of what's been happening around the farm during the past week (mostly on Fridays). Just joining us? You'll find all the Friday Farm Fix posts here and here.

The sheep barn surrounded by a blast of autumn color.

What's this? A new Friday Farm Fix after a ten week hiatus? Yes! (Although I didn't want to give you too much of a shock by actually posting it on Friday.) I've missed this series. Missed being able to look back and see what we've been doing each week, missed keeping on top of all my photos. I don't know if these posts be weekly again yet, but I'm hoping to get back in the groove. (Did I just date myself with that phrase?)

It's been a busy, beautiful autumn. Lots of work, lots of up and down crazy weather (80s and muggy one day, 50s and blustery the next), lots of gorgeous fall color. October is my favorite month on the farm. Enjoy.

  4. Lovely pictures. We are getting ready for a terrible late season hurricane here in NY. It is going to destroy all the nice color left on the trees and probably some of the trees also. Where is Mr Bert running to,busy man, he always makes me smile.

  5. Beagle Bert is just the cutest, and Mr. Midnight is just the handsomest. I'll be daydreaming about your lovely farm while I'm stuck in the office all day today....

  6. Oh, the fall colors! Ours are falling quickly, due to several windy and cold days. I've put the garden to bed, and next I'll rake leaves. Meanwhile, there are assessments to grade and tests to score...not to mention classes to teach! Miles to go before I sleep.

  7. Uh oh---looks like Bert's look-out on the hay bales is being enclosed. Maybe a small window up there, just for him, would be a nice touch. He loves that sunny hideaway to survey his kingdom (or just take a nap!).
Love the photos...thanks for sharing them.

December 2015 update: Hi! For some reason I can't figure out, Blogger hasn't been letting me leave comments on my own blog (!) for the last several months, so I've been unable to respond to your comments and questions. My apologies for any inconvenience! You're always welcome to email me: farmgirlfare AT gmail DOT com.

Hi! Thanks for visiting Farmgirl Fare and taking the time to write. While I'm not always able to reply to every comment, I receive and enjoy reading them all.

Your feedback is greatly appreciated, and I especially love hearing about your experiences with my recipes. Comments on older posts are always welcome!

Please note that I moderate comments, so if I'm away from the computer it may be a while before yours appears.

I try my best to answer all questions, though sometimes it takes me a few days. And sometimes, I'm sorry to say, they fall through the cracks, and for that I sincerely apologize.

I look forward to hearing from you and hope you enjoy your e-visits to our farm!
