© 2009 FarmgirlFare.com, the warm and toasty foodie farm blog where the heat is once again coming from the woodstove rather than the blazing sun (which is the way it's suppsed to be this time of year), although we're not quite sure about another snowstorm. They did take the predicted 2 to 4 inches of accumulation out of the forecast, which is probably just fine with the daffodils.
There you go again, tantalizing me months before my daffodils even are peeking up through the earth! I just love to see Spring coming to your farm - even as I "tsk, tsk" with impatience.
ReplyDeleteIsn't Mother Nature amazing?? She is quite the little trickster though, isn't she? Daffodils AND a snowstorm predicted??? I think she loves to be unpredictable so we can't get to sure of ourselves.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the photo of the flowers - hope does Spring eternal!
How is the cookbook coming along? I am so excited for you (and for the rest of us too, 'cuz we'll get to benefit from all of your hard work!)
Wow. So early, at least it would be for us. It's wonderful to see.
ReplyDeleteOh how beautiful! I'm trying not to be jealous - we still have about two months to go before the bulbs start to appear!
ReplyDeleteI loved the picture of the Crocus in the dead brown of last year..and the daffodils. Don't they just bring so much hope..(yes things will go on, a new start). Here we don't even bother to plant bulbs, they don't even have a chance. We finally get brave and plant summer flowers June 1,,hoping they won't freeze! Enjoy everyone of them!cocal
ReplyDeleteThere's always something so hopeful about the first daffodils. We have a daffodil festival in a nearby farm community and haven't missed it once since we retired to thePacific Northwest.
ReplyDeleteThat daffodil makes me believe that maybe, just maybe, spring really is around the corner...
