Sunday Dose of Cute: Cold Backs, Warm Heart?

Must Be a Dog Thing (Because Marta Does It, Too)

Want to see more candids of these three canines? Pictures of Daisy the Great Pyrenees livestock guardian can be found here, (mostly) action shots of Lucky Buddy Bear the Australian/English Shepherd stock dog (mostly) extraordinaire are here, and photos of Robin Her Beagleness are here.

  1. O how we love our furbabies! Yours look completely in heaven. What's better than scratchin' your back with the warmth of the sun on your belly?

    Thanks for sharing!

  2. Our dog "Larka" loves to do this too! She is CRAZY about snow. She is part Siberian Husky and looks like a White Wolf.

    Great Pictures, as usual.

    Have a fun day!

  3. Love these cats & dogs! These photos are so much fun. My doggie just loves to flop in the snow - we call it making snow angels! It's crazy to watch!

  4. Susan - you are talking drastic now - a RECIPE on the foodie farm blog? Looking forward to it. That rolling on your back thing - our goats do it too and it is way funnier than our dogs. It must feel like the best back scratching ever 'cause they get such a glazed over look!

  5. Love this (love your blog, too...am planning to bake more bread this year despite my husband's doc telling it's bad for glycemic index!). My dog does this several times a day...and when she's done, she gets up and dashes away, as if it's given her some extra energy. I might need to try it if that's the result!

December 2015 update: Hi! For some reason I can't figure out, Blogger hasn't been letting me leave comments on my own blog (!) for the last several months, so I've been unable to respond to your comments and questions. My apologies for any inconvenience! You're always welcome to email me: farmgirlfare AT gmail DOT com.

Hi! Thanks for visiting Farmgirl Fare and taking the time to write. While I'm not always able to reply to every comment, I receive and enjoy reading them all.

Your feedback is greatly appreciated, and I especially love hearing about your experiences with my recipes. Comments on older posts are always welcome!

Please note that I moderate comments, so if I'm away from the computer it may be a while before yours appears.

I try my best to answer all questions, though sometimes it takes me a few days. And sometimes, I'm sorry to say, they fall through the cracks, and for that I sincerely apologize.

I look forward to hearing from you and hope you enjoy your e-visits to our farm!
