Thursday Dose of Cute: A Look Back at Lambing Season 2010 Part Two

I carry my camera with me everywhere around the farm and snap thousands of photos each year, most of which never make it up on these pages. Back in early January I shared a two part, random assortment of personal favorites still sitting in my 2010 monthly 'to post' files:

Part three was supposed to immediately follow, but then puppy madness struck, and I forgot all about it. Since we're gearing up for Lambing Season 2011 to start in a day or two, I figured it's now or never for this cute look back. This is the second half of the lamb photos; you'll find the first half here. And there are links to photos from all of our lambing seasons—plus The Daily Donkey!—at the end of this post. Enjoy!

Monday Dose of Cute: New Photos from an Old Year Part Three - A Look Back at Lambing Season 2010

I carry my camera with me everywhere around the farm and snap thousands of photos each year, most of which never make it up on these pages. Back in early January I shared a two part, random assortment of personal favorites still sitting in my 2010 monthly 'to post' files:

Part three was supposed to immediately follow, but then puppy madness struck, and I totally forgot about it. Since we're gearing up for Lambing Season 2011 to start next week (Joe is down readying the barn as I type this), I figure it's now or never for this cute look back. The rest of the photos (I couldn't narrow it down any further) should be up in a day or two. Enjoy!

Did you miss out on last spring's lambing season? Not to worry! You can catch up with all that baby cuteness right here.

Want to hang out a while longer? You'll find links to all of this year's lambing season photos here. And you can learn about our new Katahdin hair sheep (Ava and her lamb are both 100% Katahdin) here. More photos of Ava and her twins are here and here and here and here. (When you're born first, you get to be in a lot of pictures.)

Monday Dose of Cute and Loss

Annette and Her Newborn Twins 4-7-10
Annette and Her Newborn Twins on 4/7/10

© 2010 FarmgirlFare.com, the mourning foodie farm blog where after a very long, very hot, very exhausting, and very frustrating day spent tending to a very sick ewe (one of your best of course) only to have her die that night (which meant you then had to deal with her very large dead body at 11pm—and happened to be the only person home at the time), it's always a good idea to spend some time looking back at happier and cuter times while you're crying your eyes out. (Cake for breakfast helps, too.) Rest in peace, beautiful Annette. And thank you for giving me Cary.

This just might be my favorite lambing season photo yet.
