Thursday Dose of Cute: Happy Thanksgiving!

George the pet turkey 1 - FarmgirlFare.com
George, our mechanic's pet turkey

George is thankful he'll still be around tomorrow, and we're thankful for homemade apple streusel pie and ice cream for breakfast. Gotta go!

What are you thankful for today?

  4. I was thankful that my 25 year old son and two of his buddies decided to do all the work. They cooked the best Thanksgiving meal I've EVER had, the kitchen is all clean, the leftovers are in the fridge, and I'm just sitting here with a cup of coffee pretending like I'm the Queen. Oh, and they fixed me your cauliflower recipe because I can't eat potatoes...yum!

What breed is that turkey? It doesn't look like a broad-breasted bronze, it seems more exotic.

  5. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours and to George too! :)
I made your Roasted Sweet Potatoes with Onions, Apples and a Hint of Orange for Thanksgiving dinner and it was a big hit! Thanks for another great recipe!

  6. Barb, Rosa, Nancy,
    Thanks! :)

    Queen Jan,

Sounds like a perfect holiday! I love it. So glad you enjoyed the mashed cauliflower.

As for George, I'm not sure what breed of turkey he is. There were so many birds flapping around the farm I only got as far as asking if George would be around after Thanksgiving. ;)

    Candy,
So happy to hear the roasted sweet potatoes were a hit! :)

December 2015 update: Hi! For some reason I can't figure out, Blogger hasn't been letting me leave comments on my own blog (!) for the last several months, so I've been unable to respond to your comments and questions.
