I'm loving the break from my daily sweat-drenched watering sessions in the kitchen garden, though they're much more enjoyable since I bought some of these awesome, ultra light (made in the USA!) Water Right hoses two years ago. What a difference. I used to dread watering.

December 2015 update: Hi! For some reason I can't figure out, Blogger hasn't been letting me leave comments on my own blog (!) for the last several months, so I've been unable to respond to your comments and questions. My apologies for any inconvenience! You're always welcome to email me: farmgirlfare AT gmail DOT com.
Hi! Thanks for visiting Farmgirl Fare and taking the time to write. While I'm not always able to reply to every comment, I receive and enjoy reading them all.
Your feedback is greatly appreciated, and I especially love hearing about your experiences with my recipes. Comments on older posts are always welcome!
Please note that I moderate comments, so if I'm away from the computer it may be a while before yours appears.
I try my best to answer all questions, though sometimes it takes me a few days. And sometimes, I'm sorry to say, they fall through the cracks, and for that I sincerely apologize.
I look forward to hearing from you and hope you enjoy your e-visits to our farm!
We just had our first rainstorm in the sweltering Catskills in about 2 weeks-so tired of watering and the trees were starting to droop! We have had 90-100 degree temps and unbelievable humidity up here-so this feels so good! But I love Sum sum summertime-a great excuse to eat ice cream, take the dogs swimming in the stream, fire up the grill instead of the oven and watch fireflys and the amazing moon.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful rainbows to wake up to! I know what you mean about the rain! We are in monsoon season out here in Tucson and the thunderstorms have been very welcome. Our humidity is relatively low and but we have only a swamp cooler, so it gets sticky. Nothing ice cream can't fix!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the rain! Ours has slowed down to the point that hubby had to water the trees and bushes this morning. I hope you got to see the supermoon last night! I thought it had been particularly bright recently. LOL!!
ReplyDeleteWow! That's a beautiful scene. I'd love to see that as my computer's wallpaper.
