Skinny Chip Was Born During My First Lambing SeasonI've just posted another chapter from my early years of country living on the
Writings From Windridge Farm site. It's called
"Midnight Mothers & Minding The Moonsigns: A Busy Spring At Windridge." It's hard to believe it's been six months since I shared the last Windridge story with you. It's even harder to believe that it's been 10 years since I wrote this one. So much has changed--I'm living a whole different life on a whole different farm. But one thing has most definitely stayed exactly the same--springtime is as crazy as ever.
I've put up the entire story at once, so those of you who have been wishing for a longer read will be able to curl up with a cold glass of milk and a
slice of cake or a cup of coffee and a little
plate of cookies (or perhaps a pot of tea and a couple of
cranberry scones?) and settle in for a lengthier visit to the first farm I lived on (back when I really had no idea what I was doing).

here if you have no idea what this Windridge stuff is all about but wish you did. Enjoy.
And for the many of you who so kindly keep asking if I have ever thought of putting all this stuff into some sort of book, the answer is a resounding
yes! Getting from here to there is, of course, a whole other story, but it is definitely something I really hope to do someday. Maybe once spring is over. . .
