  1. I love fall! And Spring too - but fall is so refreshing after the hot, hot summer. And I love it when the occasional springtime flower (or summer flower) shows its face once more in the fall. I currently have a few last minute gardenias on my bush that spent its bounty months ago. And the azaleas have a few buds on them in a yard down the street.

These last minute flowers always make me so excited. Not to mention the pretty fall flowers we hadn't seen since last year.

    Beautiful picture. Enjoy the fall.

  2. I must say, as a girl who grew up on a farm in Missouri and has woefully not been home in four years, your blog makes me terribly homesick!

Beautiful work. While I'm sure most of your visitors enjoy their glimpse into a much more easy going and quiet sort of life than they have ever known I've greatly enjoyed the "That's home!" I feel looking at your pictures.

    Many kudos :)

  4. Man, I love fall. Our summer weather wasn't so bad this year, so I'm not feeling the great relief I normally feel when the cooler weather begins, but I am very much looking forward to the fall colors and the gorgeous clear and cool days. Yay fall!

  5. I wax rhapsodic about Autumn Joy too. This year, mine are small. I think they like the abuse of a too-hot and too-day summer, which 2008 was definitely not.

  6. Isn't it fabulous how we get a whole 'nuther season of blooms in the fall? My roses and those wretched invasive morning glories are dueling to the death around here.

December 2015 update: Hi! For some reason I can't figure out, Blogger hasn't been letting me leave comments on my own blog (!) for the last several months, so I've been unable to respond to your comments and questions. My apologies for any inconvenience! You're always welcome to email me: farmgirlfare AT gmail DOT com.

Hi! Thanks for visiting Farmgirl Fare and taking the time to write. While I'm not always able to reply to every comment, I receive and enjoy reading them all.

Your feedback is greatly appreciated, and I especially love hearing about your experiences with my recipes. Comments on older posts are always welcome!

Please note that I moderate comments, so if I'm away from the computer it may be a while before yours appears.

I try my best to answer all questions, though sometimes it takes me a few days. And sometimes, I'm sorry to say, they fall through the cracks, and for that I sincerely apologize.

I look forward to hearing from you and hope you enjoy your e-visits to our farm!
