  1. gotta LOVE those adorable baby donkeys!! makes me want to get one! (don't think my landlord would let my cat-security-deposit cover for a donkey in my one-BR apartment, do you?!?)

thanks so much for sharing and brightening my friday!! : )

  2. Who says donks don't eat dog food? Everything eats dog food - horses, goats, chickens, peafowl, cats. Mice. Rats. Pigeons. Everything on my place eats it. Raccoons. Possums.

  3. Why do I live in the 'burbs?

Of course, I wouldn't know the first thing about taking care of a donkey!

They are so amazingly cute. Great photo!

  4. You have the same attitude gate guards we have - if I want to get into the pasture with them the goats stand right against the gate and I have to pay my toll (currently a few acorns will do the trick). Donks are SO cute - I love the hairdo - wish I could go with that wild and fluffy look!

  7. I love your blog with all the pictures of the farm.
This time of year I am a little nostalgic since I live away from family. Normally this is the time of year we plan our annual trip to the pumpkin patch where they have a small petting zoo.
    This cheers me up.

  8. My sister, who lives across the river from our place, has donkeys. Every time we go over there, the donkeys try to stick their noses into our pockets. They know we always bring apples from our trees for them!

December 2015 update: Hi! For some reason I can't figure out, Blogger hasn't been letting me leave comments on my own blog (!) for the last several months, so I've been unable to respond to your comments and questions. My apologies for any inconvenience! You're always welcome to email me: farmgirlfare AT gmail DOT com.

Hi! Thanks for visiting Farmgirl Fare and taking the time to write. While I'm not always able to reply to every comment, I receive and enjoy reading them all.

Your feedback is greatly appreciated, and I especially love hearing about your experiences with my recipes. Comments on older posts are always welcome!

Please note that I moderate comments, so if I'm away from the computer it may be a while before yours appears.

I try my best to answer all questions, though sometimes it takes me a few days. And sometimes, I'm sorry to say, they fall through the cracks, and for that I sincerely apologize.

I look forward to hearing from you and hope you enjoy your e-visits to our farm!
