We've been having a warm and windy October, and the laundry line has been in constant use as I take advantage of these beautiful sunny days that make everything look and smell so clean and fresh. I love how the sun naturally disinfects linens and even bleaches out stubborn stains.
The farm is so beautiful this time of year, but I have to admit I enjoy watching clean laundry blowing in the breeze almost as much as I like soaking up the scenery.

These recent vintage junk store finds were once somebody else's treasures and are now ready to be loved and used by us. And although we don't actually have a table big enough to fit that big blooming tablecloth, at $10 and in beautiful condition there was no way I was going to pass it up.
I know that one day it'll be just perfect for something—and in the meantime, every time I look at it I smile.

- How did you discovered the phenomenon 'Blogging'?
- Then, had you exactly a plan for a subject for your blog, or did you just began, and you thought: 'I see where I will come out..'
- In the beginning, did you do much advertising to make your blog popular, or just sign up for some blog directories and don't care of it? (that your blog became no popular)
- Did you re search on google about blogging or did you started with your own opinion?

I LOVE vintage linens...I wish I had a dining room to use them in...just a tiny kitchen table...and I love drying sheets and linens on the line too!
ReplyDeleteVintage table cloths make great bedspreads if you don't have a table large enough. They're also great for making blankets with (if you find a wool blanket and a table cloth that are aprox the same size you can sew them together). I love vintage linens too and I'm always trying to find ways to use them.

The first blogs I discovered were food blogs, from an online newspaper article about them back in 2005. Not long after that, I started my own food blog, with a 'farm life' spin to it.
I didn't know anything about blogging or about the technical parts of it, but Blogger.com made it pretty easy to figure things out - and it's much easier to do things like change the design of your Blogger blog now.
Things were really different back then - there weren't many food bloggers and Facebook and Twitter didn't exist (or if Facebook did, the food blog world hadn't started using it). I didn't do any advertising for my blog, but I did get to know lots of other new food bloggers through comments we made on each others' blogs.
I also received some publicity from online and print articles that mentioned Farmgirl Fare. It was a much smaller world back then! Now of course there are millions of blogs. :)
You had asked me before about blog directories. Another one that I sometimes see traffic from is BlogCatalog.com.
