Very cute chicks! I was on a bicycle tour of Vietnam in February and photographed a mother hen with TWENTY baby chicks! Lots were crawling onto her back, just like yours. I wondered what the normal number of chicks was, and whether she might be a foster hen to others' chicks?

ReplyDeleteSo cute! I'm wondering if you ever have had problems integrating the baby chicks with the other chickens. We have chicks that are about 2 months old, and I just got a couple more to add color to my flock. So far I've kept them seperate, but when I did put them together for a bit to see how they'd do, one of the older ones started pecking at the baby chicks legs.

ReplyDeleteMy husband thanks the heavens everyday that we didn't move from the town we are currently living in because we are NOT permitted to have chickens. I keep telling him that if the ban is ever lifted I have the perfect spot for the hen house :) Love the pics - thanks for sharing.
