Tuesday Farm Photo: Love It

A new heart rock and a soft old shirt

Much to my surprise and delight, I've found hundreds of heart shaped rocks around the farm over the last several years. (I'm not real picky; they don't have to be perfect, just like love isn't.) You can see more of my heart rock collection here and here.

© FarmgirlFare.com, the well worn foodie farm blog where some of my favorite work shirts are so tattered and full of holes that each time I wear one, I swear this will be the last time, and then I'll wash it so the rags I cut it up into will be clean. But then somehow the freshly laundered shirt makes it off the laundry line and back into my pile of clothes—where I figure I'll just wear it one more time.

  2. Oh - that's a nice one! I only have a few that are that size and then well over 100 small ones. One of my favorites is a heart within a heart.

  3. I have a couple of well-worn shirts that fit that description - too comfy to cut into rags yet!

Early this morning I heard the honking and looked up to see a V-formation of Canada geese, maybe thirty of them, flying about 50' over my hill on the coast of Connecticut, from the southwest headed northeast. Spring's coming!

  5. My husband brings me heart shaped rocks whenever he finds them, and I love their rugged imperfection. This one is lovely!
