Tuesday Dose of Cute: Three Times Two, Woohoophew!

Twins 1

We've had three sets of twins born in less than 24 hours, plus a big (slightly stuck) single boy born yesterday afternoon.

More photos and a lamb report below. . .

Twins 2

Twins 3
We're all a little surprised.

Current lamb count: 23. Mamas: 11. Ewe lambs: 14. Ram lambs: 9. Sets of triplets: 3. Sets of twins: 6. Singles: 2. Pregnant ewes remaining: 9. Number of first time mothers doing an awesome job: 4 out of 4 (so far). Number of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies I had for dinner: just one big one, though I'm hankering for a second (but then I'd have to trade my glass of white wine in for milk, and I don't think I'm ready for that quite yet).

The Daily Donkey 66: A Little Snow Kiss?

© FarmgirlFare.com, where it's never a good idea to leave the grilled cheese and homegrown beef salami sandwich you're making for your sweetheart's very late dinner cooking on the stove while you leave the room (first mistake!) to make some quick lambing notes. Black looks very good on sheep, but not so much on bread. I'm blaming sleep deprivation. Or cute overload. Probably a combination. Probably I should have fed him cookies for dinner.

  2. Cookie and milk OR wine? Why not cookie and milk AND THEN wine? Might as well have both.

P.S. I know you're crazy busy, but you'll like today's post if you get a chance to look at my site.

  4. Anytime I leave something cooking and go outside, I get sucked into the black hole of my yard, barn and flower beds. Something ends up overcooked...

    Luv the babies.

  6. Hi Susan - Lots of cute lambs at your place this year! We only had two ewes bred, and have, as I told my friend, "four on the floor" - two sets of twins, 3 ewes & a ram - The Shepherd is over the moon with all the ewes - now he has to decide who goes - but that's a few months away - now we just get to enjoy the Lambolympics :-) T.

  7. Is that Finny with her babes? They're so cute with their fuzzy noggins. All the lambs are cute, of course, but it's well known that I play favorites. Particularly with namesakes. Enjoy the Lambolympics, silly gal ;)
