  1. Hi Farmgirl, I enjoy your blog very much. The animals, the recipes, gardening. I am trying your recipe today, "White Bean and Garlic Soup". Thank you.

  5. Awesome photo. So is Gnat staying "gnat-like"in size? Also, is Gus still as affectionate as he was in the beginning?

I think it would be fun to take some of your donkey pics and put random thought bubbles over their heads!

  7. Nothing to do with donkeys (hi donkeys!), but . . . I made the roasted eggplant thing last night. With the onions and peppers AND (I thought you would like to know this) chunks of sweet Italian sausage. Because meatless meals don't go over so well with a certain male resident of our home. I loved the vegetables obviously, because I always do, but the big surprise was the sausage. I don't like Italian sausage much, but I did like it roasted. It gets kind of chewy and dry, almost like a summer sausage or something in texture. Way better than the grease-bomb that results when it's fried.

I also made pasta (gluten-free for us--boo) with pesto and then I mixed it all up in my bowl. It was DELICIOUS. So, my suggested add-ins would be sausage and pesto with that pasta.

    That was long. Sorry.

December 2015 update: Hi! For some reason I can't figure out, Blogger hasn't been letting me leave comments on my own blog (!) for the last several months, so I've been unable to respond to your comments and questions. My apologies for any inconvenience! You're always welcome to email me: farmgirlfare AT gmail DOT com.

Hi! Thanks for visiting Farmgirl Fare and taking the time to write. While I'm not always able to reply to every comment, I receive and enjoy reading them all.

Your feedback is greatly appreciated, and I especially love hearing about your experiences with my recipes. Comments on older posts are always welcome!

Please note that I moderate comments, so if I'm away from the computer it may be a while before yours appears.

I try my best to answer all questions, though sometimes it takes me a few days. And sometimes, I'm sorry to say, they fall through the cracks, and for that I sincerely apologize.

I look forward to hearing from you and hope you enjoy your e-visits to our farm!
