A year of Daily Photos ago: A Tiny But Tasty First Harvest
December 2015 update: Hi! For some reason I can't figure out, Blogger hasn't been letting me leave comments on my own blog (!) for the last several months, so I've been unable to respond to your comments and questions. My apologies for any inconvenience! You're always welcome to email me: farmgirlfare AT gmail DOT com.
Hi! Thanks for visiting Farmgirl Fare and taking the time to write. While I'm not always able to reply to every comment, I receive and enjoy reading them all.
Your feedback is greatly appreciated, and I especially love hearing about your experiences with my recipes. Comments on older posts are always welcome!
Please note that I moderate comments, so if I'm away from the computer it may be a while before yours appears.
I try my best to answer all questions, though sometimes it takes me a few days. And sometimes, I'm sorry to say, they fall through the cracks, and for that I sincerely apologize.
I look forward to hearing from you and hope you enjoy your e-visits to our farm!
I can just picture myself looking out on this idyllic view! Would you mind if I place a link on my blog to yours?
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous! :) I just found your blog and it's amazing. I'll be back to look at the photos and all the other goodies.
ReplyDeleteTake care,
Christina
P.S. If you have a moment - I would love your opinion on my blog. I need all the advice I can get! lol
Hello, I just wanted to tell you that I love your blog. I love the idea of moving to a small hobby farm, but really don't think I could bring myself to do it. And I'm not sure I would be as committed as you. But, you are very inspiring!
ReplyDeleteHave you ever read Jon Katz's book The Dogs of Bedlam Farm? I thought of that book when I discovered your blog. Of course, he did it almost solely for the book.
Hey, there's some hay.
ReplyDeleteHappy first day of summer!
ReplyDeleteI just ran across this blog yesterday, and already am taken with it! It will be on my daily list of websites to visit.
gosh that reminds me so much of home.
ReplyDeleteAfter we baled, I would often climb up and rest on the stack and fall asleep with my dog Boomer at my feet.
Hello, I just discovered your blog and find it to be quite refreshing. Love the pictures of the strawberries and little itty bitty turtle. ;-)
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to reading more of your bloggity and trying out some of the recipes. Wish I could try some of the artisan bread you are baking. mmmmmm.
Good luck to you.
Hi Everyone,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for taking the time to write and say hello (on this and other posts). I've been crazy busy and then off the farm all day today, so I've been slacking in the comment reply dept. My apologies, especially to those of you who asked questions.
If I don't get to your question soon, please feel free to email me (the address is on my Blogger profile page).
Hi Laura,
I love links and am always flattered when someone asks if it is alright to link to my blog. Yes! Thank you. : )
Hi Christina/Happy Slob,
Thanks for your kind words. So glad you found the farm and are enjoying your e-visits. I'll check out your blog as soon as I can.
Hi Jay,
Welcome to the farm! And until you move to your own place, you can just e-visit anytime--all of the beauty, critter entertainment, and fabulous food and none of the work, LOL.
Okay, now I must track down this Bedlam Farm book. My shepherdgirl pal, Katherine, who has the most wonderful blog called Apifera Farm (besides running her lavender/sheep/etc. farm and creating gorgeous paintings) has now mentioned Bedlam Farm twice. I definitely need to get my hands on a copy! Thanks for the reminder.
Hi Intgonnatakitnomore,
Ha ha, farm humor. Love it. Just my speed. : )
Hi Jane's Eyre,
Thank you! I totally forgot to mention that today although I was well aware of it--even before the thermometer decided to go waaaaaay up. : )
Hi Rodley,
Glad I could bring you a pleasant memory without any of the actual physical work. Curling up in the haybales for a nap with a dog sounds great! : )
Hi Super Bad Friend,
Welcome to the farm! Oh, I wish I had kept that itty bitty turtle! : )
Well, you may not be able to taste my artisan bread, but you can bake some of your own. All you have to do is follow my Ten Tips For Better Bread. Click here and you'll be pulling out hot, crusty loaves from the oven before you know it. : )
Hi Farm Girl - I love your blog site and reading about a farmer on the other side of the world to me. I live in western Australia.
ReplyDeleteI have just started a blog site and I wonder how you get everything on the first page so to speak. To get the rest on my site you have to click Archives. Regards Laurel

Extremely adorable blog. Elegance in Simplicity. I guess this entire blog would make a very very informative and illustrative book for people to read. Why don't you think of publishing this blog in form of a book? Especially the way this blog is presented, it would be worth millions. Think again!
ReplyDeleteGood Morning, I have been stopping by for a while, just decided to post. I love your site!!! I also live in Missouri, I sure am hoping for the rain that they are calling for today and tomorrow, my garden needs it badly! I have just started a blog, stop by if you get a chance.
ReplyDeleteIt is pretty. I like the misty distance in the background.

ReplyDeleteLove your site.......
ReplyDeleteI love your pictures. I love nature and all its sounds and fragrances. I lived in the country part of my youth. Now I have nurtured a certified Back Yard Habitat with bird feeders, bird baths and good landscaping. I go to a park here to walk. Fortunately, there I get to see horses and sometimes water fowl.
ReplyDeleteGood for you and your husband. So glad you have found happiness there.
Nice photo...
ReplyDeleteLove the farm.I have lived in a city for most of my life. Unfortunately
