  1. Your daily doses pics are a nice addition to my day. Cute begins to describe them. Are sheep hard to keep?

  2. So sorry for my ignorance, but why is everything so brown? It's spring, isn't it?

  6. Hi Yellow Dog,
The bouncing sickness has already reached epidemic proportions this year. It's adorable!

    Hi Don,
So glad you're enjoying the photos. As far as sheep being hard to keep - well, they are quite a bit of work, especially if your fencing situation is severely lacking (as in, who has $25,000 to spend on fencing?). But they're fun to be around, and they provide us with some of the best meat I've ever eaten.

Lambing season is the busiest time of year for us, especially since we're also feeding hay several times a day, but the cuteness is worth all the extra work! ; )

    Hi Suzanne,
Good observation! It is indeed spring, and things are starting to green up, but the pregnant and mother ewes are penned up in the barnyard which is basically mud, manure, and hay this time of year. And it backs up to the wooded side of the ridge which only has the barest hint of green poking through.

    Hi Connie,
Thanks for taking the time to write and let me know you're enjoying the photos. : )

    Hi Emily,
Sometimes I'm so busy tending to the lambs I forget just how incredibly cute they are (if that makes any sense). Then when I do, it's serious cute overload, and I race around trying to snatch one up. They're really quick!

    Hi Mimi,
I have to admit I have a soft spot (hee hee) for the spotted lambs myself.

December 2015 update: Hi! For some reason I can't figure out, Blogger hasn't been letting me leave comments on my own blog (!) for the last several months, so I've been unable to respond to your comments and questions. My apologies for any inconvenience! You're always welcome to email me: farmgirlfare AT gmail DOT com.

Hi! Thanks for visiting Farmgirl Fare and taking the time to write. While I'm not always able to reply to every comment, I receive and enjoy reading them all.

Your feedback is greatly appreciated, and I especially love hearing about your experiences with my recipes. Comments on older posts are always welcome!

Please note that I moderate comments, so if I'm away from the computer it may be a while before yours appears.

I try my best to answer all questions, though sometimes it takes me a few days. And sometimes, I'm sorry to say, they fall through the cracks, and for that I sincerely apologize.

I look forward to hearing from you and hope you enjoy your e-visits to our farm!
