Daphne and Her Baby Girl, Age Two Days (taken yesterday)
© Copyright 2008 FarmgirlFare.com, the award-winning blog where Daphne's as-yet-unnamed little girl (it has to start with E!), who was up and running not long after being born, apparently thinks racing shouldn't just be for horses and spent part of the morning galloping around and around and around an imaginary track at top speed while we cheered her on from the sidelines and a slightly confused Daphne watched, turning back and forth and back and forth, from the center of the ring. Then she veered off course and headed straight for the milk bar.
Eglantine? Emmeline? Erminegarde?
ReplyDeleteSo cute!
Ellie may. The most famous of farm girls!
ReplyDeleteLittle baby E has the cutest ears! Is it any wonder her name will start with an E? What did you name the dogs? I have gone back through the files but I didn't see it. So, are all the animals done with births yet? You need a break. Just in time to start over again.
ReplyDeleteWith that racing around, I immediately thought - Earnhardt (not sure it works for a girl, though!)
ReplyDeleteShe looks like an Eloise to me.
ReplyDeleteAdorable.
I think those babies are just about the cutest thing - EVER!!!! You are sooooo lucky, and thank you sooooo much for sharing them with us! We're lucky, too.
ReplyDeleteHow about Echo?
ReplyDeleteShe's so lovely!
ReplyDeleteHow about Emma or Eowyn?
All that energy immediately brought to mind the name "Elektra" for me!
ReplyDeleteShe's so very adorable. :)
What a love! You could always go with E! ( isn't that a cable program?) or Eleanor ( no reason at all, except E. Roosevelt was a cool lady). With those ears, how about Eggbeater?
ReplyDeleteI have to say I'm partial to Ella (the name of my cat). It means little girl but in my experience it fits feisty little girls especially well.
ReplyDeleteI am a little slow on the uptake.
ReplyDeleteAfter reading on Saturday and seeing your "copy write" copy, it dawned on me that you hadn't just written the same of "copy write" stuff.
I think when you first started I read it and thought not much of it. Read it a few more times and thought they must have all sounded them same. I now see where you actually comment and add lots of fun stuff associated with the "copy write" text. I can't wait to go back and read them all.
Call me slow (or blonde - I am).
Now I have to wonder how many times I've commented and seemed like a goof because maybe my questions were answered in your copy write.
I also have noticed lately, that all of a sudden there is a post that shows up that I haven't see before - and I check your blog almost daily and go backwards until I'm where I left off. Go figure.
Can't wait to hear the new "E" name.
Espry jumps to mind; seems to go with the speedy feet. :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's so unoriginal, but whenever I think E-names and the cute little donkey you keep posting photos of I think Eeyore. Love the posts!
ReplyDeleteI think the new baby should be called Emily..coz um..its a really pretty name. :D
ReplyDeleteEm(ily)
When I saw her picture taken just after her birth, I immediately thought of "Emily" as her name. Just popped into my head. She is very cute!
ReplyDeleteShe looks like an Evelyn to me.
ReplyDeleteDo the donkeys have a job, other than being cute?
Ermintrude - After the cow in magic round-about..?
ReplyDeleteI'm still throwing my vote towards Endora! She is really a-dora-ble... get it? Ha Ha... okay, not so funny. :-)
ReplyDeleteOh, another e name is Ernestine (that was my grandmother's name), but she doesn't strike me as an Ernestine.
Blessings,
~*~
I went looking for a girls name. but really did not come up with one except Elizabeth that won't work.
ReplyDeletethen my daughter came in and said "elsa" sorta nice.
I also thought of hurracines, for the way she run twisting and turning, but did not like any of those names.! lol
My vote is for Epiphany! :) My husband came up with it in the car the other day because it was like Daphne had an Epiphany that it was time to have her baby too! :) She's super cute!
ReplyDeleteEDWINA
ReplyDeleteIf you're looking for names, how about Etienne?
ReplyDeleteElsie! Elizabeth! Eh-isn't-she-cute!
ReplyDelete-plot
She's got to be Eliza Doolittle! So very cute.
ReplyDeleteHow about Ebray?
ReplyDeleteEuphoria.
ReplyDeleteI kinda like the names Estella or Estrella. Been looking for the lamb that looks like one! ;-)
ReplyDeleteLove the baby donkeys, my goodness they are so cute.
Tammy
Aw, she is darling! How about Elise? (Full disclosure: that's my name!)
ReplyDeleteEvinrude is an outboard motor company. I think in "The Rescuers" it was the name of the dragonfly. Seems like it might fit her need for speed.
ReplyDeleteI have been thinking hard and looking at that little beauty and wondering what name will suit her. If she were mine I think I would name her Elleree, or Emberlynn, or how about Earlene? Emeline means industrious. Eugenia means well born,Eudora means delightful gift. They;re all lovely names....for such a cute little gal
ReplyDeletePerhaps to some it's boring but I'd suggest Elizabeth (I already saw someone say it wouldn't work). It's classic and refined for a beautiful young woman. You could even say it with a french accent to sound sexy!!!
ReplyDeleteEva.
ReplyDeletei.e. She Goes.
2 syllables work great in basic animal communcations.
Been thinking...how about Etoille.
ReplyDelete(sounds like eh twahl). It means "star" in french. It was my grandmother's middle name.
Oh I think she is precious!! I like Esmeralda or Esme. Esmeralda means emerald, and I think that is a fitting name for a sporty girl.
ReplyDeleteEsmé might suit your darling donkey.
ReplyDeleteOh, I like Evelyn (Evie) or Esmerelda (Esme). Very cute!!
ReplyDeleteThis infant baby is so delicate,It must have been the precious gift of God for you Daphne.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely adorable!
ReplyDeleteEmmy? Evita? ooh...Evangeline? :)
