Still Wet — And Not Just Behind the Ears
Apparently Daphne felt bad that she hadn't gotten me anything for my birthday yesterday since Dolores had, so a couple of hours ago she gave birth to this darling little girl. Mother and baby are both doing fine. Way to go, Daphne — and Daddy Dan!

© Copyright 2008 FarmgirlFare.com, the award-winning blog where yesterday I was wrong - there is a cuter birthday present a farmgirl could ask for than a baby donkey: two baby donkeys of course! And the winners of the Comfort Food book and totebag giveaway will be announced just as soon as everybody's done giving birth around here, which technically should be now but you never really know. (And for the last time, that doesn't mean I might be pregnant!)
Happy Birthday to you and to both baby girl donkeys! Very cute photos. Very exciting!
ReplyDeleteI'm completely charmed by your growing herd of donkeys. The babies are lovely. Happy belated birthday!
ReplyDeleteAurrrggg! I can't believe I missed your birthday! Happy, happy birthday, and now YOU get to name the baby, birthday girl! May all your dreams come true.....
ReplyDeleteOkay, I'm officially de-lurking now. Happy Belated Birthday, Farmgirl! This is my most favorite blog by far, I stop by daily to catch a new post or check out some older ones.
ReplyDeleteI love reading about the critters, you've even caused me to shed a tear or two. And your recipes aren't bad either!
Have a wonderful day with your new baby girls.
WOW!!! Way to go!
ReplyDeleteMe again. Was just thinking...
ReplyDeleteYou could name her "Bea" as in Belated. Or Tardy. Or Daylate (pronounced quickly like: dehlate)or "Dee" could even come from that.
But I'm sure you've already got something better, and probably cuter, up your sleeve. Can't wait to hear her name. By the way...are the llamas still around (it was llamas wasn't it? They were just a quick blip on the radar). We never did hear their names. Or the puppies.
One day I'll let those rest. :0)
Happy birthday to you and the new babies. They are adorable! Will you be naming them soon? :)
ReplyDeleteOh, she's so cute! Will the moms let you near their babies?
ReplyDeleteWhat timing - a donkey considerate enough to give birth in the daylight! Most of my critters seem to prefer "the wee hours" for their birthing. Great b'day gifts - are you getting to move soon also??? hint hint for updates on bakery slash new house????
ReplyDeleteA belated happy birthday and what a wonderful present!
ReplyDeleteDo those donkeys have timing, or what?
ReplyDeleteWhat cute babies! Both of them! Congrats to both mommies and daddy and to you!
ReplyDeleteAnd Happy Birthday to you, too! What wonderful birthday presents you got!
Ohh... soo cute! What are you going to name her? How about Endora? Y'know...from the old TV show Bewitched. When I saw Wednesday's post about Esmeralda, her name immediately made me think of Bewitched.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, take care!
I love the babies! What a great birthday gift. What are you going to do with them all? (I'll take one off your hands for you!)
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a wonderful birthday! I love the new babies!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to you and the sweet little ones! What a treat!
