Pretty In Pink For Those Blue On Monday
I like it. It's a red leaf. I like it a lot. I wish I was on a farm right now. I love the smell of farms. I know it's weird, by I love the smell of cows. It makes me think of Thomas Hardy.
ReplyDeletePretty :-)
ReplyDeleteYou found a red leaf, I found a bllom on my hardy mums that usually bloom in October. It's the end of the world I tell you!
ReplyDeleteOh no! I'm not ready for fall.
ReplyDeleteThere is plenty of good weather yet.
Oh, the first signs of Autumn .. I can't wait. I'd love some Autumn weather right about now, since it's like a bazillion degrees out here!
ReplyDeleteFavorites?
ReplyDeleteEverything Cary!
The one of her resting in the truck as part of the "haying crew", and "Donkey Daycare" are the ones that stick out in my mind. In DDC, she's looking at you as if to say, "Mommy, was I bad?" (as if she was confused) and Dan is also looking at you like, "Mommy, was I bad?" (as in aw man I have to babysit HER!)
A favorite? I wish I were that decisive. *Secret* I have been putting your photos up as desktop wallpaper. Right now, I have the photo of Martha and her lambs out in the field. Really, I have to stop myself from changing it everyday.
ReplyDeleteMy vote -- anything with Cary. Or the llamas. Or the Doodle Monster - oh and I love Patchy Cat. Ok, see, this is going nowhere. I love them all.
Everyday I wake up to look at your posts and I think each one cannot be beaten...then the next day happens and you've blown my heart away again!!!!!! For a North Dakota girl who lived in Sacramento CA for 40some years and last year moved to the side of a mountain in Central Idaho, you inspire me everyday with your true "seeing" what makes our surroundings so unbelievably beautiful and really very simple....May God continue to open your eyes to all around you so you may be a vessel to us...Deb
ReplyDeleteYou have really inspired me. My husband bought me a digital camera, and I finally started using it. I too have cone flowers blooming now, but all I found on mine were bees! Here is the link if you would like to take a look at mine.

I have not had any red leaves yet, but as Steven mentioned, I have a mum blooming. What crazy weather.
I thought of you today as a pickup truck flew by me with three llamas in the back. They looked so regal with their heads up enjoying the ride..,
ReplyDeletemy favorite picture is the heart shaped rocks lined up on the barn window sill. Cool.
Oh my goodness, can it be that the leaves are turning already??? I'm sure not ready for summer to end, but what a lovely photo, wonderful composition offered by nature and captured by you! Congrats on #400, I very much enjoy taking in the daily piece of farm life.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the one with the chickenz on the swing! Oh, wait... :p
ReplyDeleteHappy 400th picture day! I love them all (even the ones with the chickenz!). But your nature/scenery ones really are beautiful.
Thanks for providing such a great blog for us to enjoy - we really appreciate all the work you put into it.
I second all the others' suggestions and add the washing on the line shots from Autumn, lamby overindulgence back end of April and buzzard break end of May. Oh and cobweb for Halloween....too many to choose from, I spent an hour last night revisiting your pages. Still having our heatwave here..certain that Autumn will get here before yours! LOL. Bev.
ReplyDeleteWow - ALL your photos are great. My favorties are of course anything Cary. The gate and the swing on the tree pics are ones that come to mind, and of course anything with dogs in it.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work - I think we are all secretly jealous of your life!!!
I will enjoy checking in with you every day as you share another 100 photos! when you publish a book of these, I'll buy it!
ReplyDeleteI keep hearing talk about the autumn! It's still summer, I declare!
ReplyDeleteI have a few carnivorous plants and I hear from my online forum friends with them - a lot of their plants are already going into dormancy!
Autumn must be breathtaking where you are!
