I don't know why these pictures tickled me so much! They are so cute and obviously in synch with each other. Thanks for sharing. I love your eye for the capture-worthy everyday moment.
ReplyDeleteWHAT GOOD "WATCH" DOGS THEY ARE! LOL COME SAY HI :D
ReplyDeleteThat is the cutest thing I've ever seen! How did you ever get them to do that?

I love the pics, they're hilarious. But don't Daisy and Lucky Bear ever hang out with Marta and/or Robin? It seems like it's always just the 2 of them.
ReplyDeleteYou must rest well at night knowing these two are keeping a watchful eye. What great creatures they are and so together in their act! (and of course, you being there with the camera!) Thanks!
ReplyDeletehaa ha ha ha haaahaa, oooh, ah ha ah ha.... i busted a stitch! Thanks:)
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing how animals do the same thing at the same time ? My cats do it all the time! Very cute !
ReplyDeleteFantastic photos which really made me laugh this morning. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how you got those perfect poses. So Funny!
ReplyDeleteSeems as if they have all angles covered; no danger of a coyote sneaking up on them.

Hi Everybody,
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the comments. It's so nice to hear you're getting as much of a kick out of these pictures as I am. Every time I look at them they just crack me up.
As for how I got Bear and Daisy to do this, I really had nothing to do with it. I was about to take a picture of the two of them sitting in the snow looking at me, and then they just started listening to everything going on around them and kept looking in each direction at the same time. It was really cute - and I was so glad I had my camera out.
Hi Jan,
Daisy and Marta (our two-year-old Great Pyrenees mix, who you can see here) spend most of their time guarding the sheep together - and roaming around the farm checking for coyotes and monsters. You can see them hard at work and joined at the hip here.
But Bear is just lovesick over Daisy, and so whenever he gets near her, the two of them usually hang out together, with Marta either off patrolling or sleeping. Sometimes Marta will try to get Bear to play with her, which is laugh out loud funny because Marta is one of those dogs who lopes around and manages to move every part of her body at once in a hilariously goofy way.
As for our beloved little beagle Robin, at 13 years old she's mostly retired and spends a lot of time guarding the woodstove in the living room. She doesn't hunt rabbits and squirrels or romp around much anymore, but she does still get around fairly well, and once in a while Marta or Daisy will jump around trying to get her to play with them, while she politely ignores them and just keeps walking - it's really cute.
Hi Susan ~ Once again - wonderful photos! You completely make our day (I'm speaking for everyone now!! Who appointed me spokesperson????) with these amazing pix of your beautiful animals!!! Love, love, love them. Thank you so much.
ReplyDeleteMy doggie is also 13 years old & he is a champion sleeper.
Hope you are feeling much better and staying warm, too.
The pictures just cracked me up. I love them!! Thanks for the smile for the day!!
ReplyDeleteLove dogs.
ReplyDeleteI bet you love living in the country side. So do I but unfortunately I can't for now.
Al.
Thanks for the fun dog pics. I've been missing my dog, Justice who was an Anatolian Shepard. Anatolians are also livestock guard dogs like Daisy. They look a bit different, but I would bet the personalities are similar.
ReplyDeleteLove them. Love the pointy furry ears, and the floppy furry ears.
ReplyDeleteLove those two contemplative pooches.
ReplyDeleteThey are meditating!
