  5. Makes me think of the Eva Cassidy song "Tall Trees in Georgia" (or "Tall Trees in Missouri" in your case).

  8. Had to check my atlas to be reminded of where exactly Missouri is :-) Right in the middle, it turned out. Thought you had more winter than what your photo shows. Here in Denmark (Europe) there is snow and has been for a couple of weeks now. Nice. It makes me look forward to spring, though. After a long period of cold weather you will be more able to enjoy the hope of spring.
Love your photos. Will be back for more.

  9. Hi Clare,
Um, leaves probably. (Sorry, couldn't resist. : )

    Hi Rosa,
    Thanks!

    Hi Alisha,
    It does.

    Hi Amy,
Not as wintry looking as today's photo! Geez, I thought up that caption yesterday morning, posted the photo, THEN checked the weather forecast. Good thing I was "up for the winter look!"

    Hi Sarah,
I'll send you today's snow. Along with the single digit temps. How's that? : )

    Hi Keewee,
Spring here is absolutely wonderful. Unfortunately it rolls away after about two weeks.

    Hi Gracious Acres,
Ha ha, I don't know that song but I bet it's a good one.

    Hi Joe,
    Thanks so much.

    Hi Heather,
Everything is warm right now except for my toes (which is why I'm not still outside finishing chores). : )

    Hi 3 Wishes,
Welcome to the farm! Okay, high of 41 degrees is not that balmy (unless you're talking Celsius), so I think you should turn on the oven and bake something. I know I'm going to today.

    Hi Conny,
Welcome to the farm! You were just a day early. Check today's photo and you'll see more winter. : )

P.S. Don't feel bad about having to check the Atlas to find out where Missouri is. I've been here 12 years and sometimes I'm still not sure myself. When I first moved here and had access to TV, I would watch the evening weather report and by the time I could figure out which state in the middle we were, the map would be gone!

December 2015 update: Hi! For some reason I can't figure out, Blogger hasn't been letting me leave comments on my own blog (!) for the last several months, so I've been unable to respond to your comments and questions. My apologies for any inconvenience! You're always welcome to email me: farmgirlfare AT gmail DOT com.

Hi! Thanks for visiting Farmgirl Fare and taking the time to write. While I'm not always able to reply to every comment, I receive and enjoy reading them all.

Your feedback is greatly appreciated, and I especially love hearing about your experiences with my recipes. Comments on older posts are always welcome!

Please note that I moderate comments, so if I'm away from the computer it may be a while before yours appears.

I try my best to answer all questions, though sometimes it takes me a few days. And sometimes, I'm sorry to say, they fall through the cracks, and for that I sincerely apologize.

I look forward to hearing from you and hope you enjoy your e-visits to our farm!
