Ouf! What mothers go through! I hope for their ( and your) sake everyone's not waiting til the 14th full moon.
What about:"May one?"Archaic, but proper.
Hi Kat,Oh my gosh, I hope not, too! I usually have plans on full moon nights. ; )I just sometimes wish they could speak! I have a feeling tonight is going to be a very long night. I'm about to go back down there in a few minutes--as soon as the giant flashlight is powered back up from the last trip an hour ago, LOL. : )Hi SRHCB,So nice to hear from you. Ahhhh, good one. And yes, you're right. But it doesn't actually give a command, though does it? : )
Haha - nice trivia item. Now I can only hope I remember it for next year! :)
Poor girl reminds me of my friend who is now one week overdue!
Awwww, I thought it was March Fourth (Forth)! I still don't get "May One"... oh well. LOL.
Hi Jeff,I don't know why, but I just love that little tidbit. The best was when I told someone whose birthday was March 4th and they'd never heard that--they were tickled! : )Hi I.G.O.,LOL, what is it with these girls? Don't their babies want to come out? : )Hi Melissa,It is "March Fourth (Forth)!" You got it. : )"May one" would be beginning of a sentence, as in "May one please have another chocolate babycake?" Like srhcb said, it's archaic sounding, but proper. (At least I think that sentence is correct. You get the idea--and the person being asked the question definitely would!) : )Any others out there?
Oooo! May this one have a chocolate baby cake? Those look yummy!
I can't believe someone besides me has carried around that old March 4th tidbit! All day long when someone asked me what the date was, I answered, "The only day that is also a command!" (Then they'd stare at me blankly...)Somehow in my mind, that bit of info seems tied to this one:Where did Hitler keep his armies?......Up his sleevies!
