That's Silly Wendy's Little Girl, But That's Not Silly Wendy
So who got stuck with babysitting duty?
Skinny Chip! (I told you my pet wethers aren't useless.)
Click here to see how her spots have already faded.
Lamb Report: Number of extremely soggy, rain-soaked sheep: 65. Number of lambs who need eartags today because I'm already starting to forget who is who: 19. (The two born yesterday are too small--their tiny ears would sag down from the weight of the tag which, I unfortunately know from experience, looks pitiful). Number of eartags on hand: Not Enough. Oops. Current Lamb Count: 21.
I'm glad you're back! You bring so much joy and escape from life's rat race with your entertaining writing and pictures. I enjoy your other site too.

Chip looks like a good fellow to have around. I'd imagine those mamas get tired and can use a little break. Love that photo of your wet weather creek and am glad you're poking your head back out of the shell. You bring some beautiful greenery to the life of this desert dweller!
ReplyDeleteThat's "Skinny Chip"? I guess that great big wooly butt must be all fluff?
ReplyDeleteToo bad about the spots, they were terribly cute. But so are the little black face and foots.
I'm so glad that your back...I missed seeing those baby sheep!
ReplyDeleteWe have around 10 calves that need to be tagged, but they are so hard to catch once they are a few weeks old and out in a 350 acre pasture!
Hey there! Glad to see you posting. I did miss you those few days you took your mini-vacation from blogging. Hope your day is fun and plenty getting done!
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice lookin' babysitter. It's nice that even mommy sheep get some time off :)
ReplyDeleteAwww, Hi Skinny Chip!
ReplyDeleteThe amount of fading is incredible! Logically I knew the chocolate chips had to fade (since none of the adult sheep look like the babies) but it happened so quickly! But don't worry Silly Wendy's baby... you're still adorable :)
