ReplyDeleteOh...my...such cuteness! And such marvelous protectors they'll be! Come to think of it, I'm surprised you haven't tried specific herd protector type doggies before. I adore those dogs...any breed really...Maremmas...Anatolian sheepdogs...

Oh goodness!! Ahahaha! They are adorable. I enjoy reading your blog very much, and I hope that these little fluff balls help fend off the coyotes.

ReplyDeleteGreat idea! We live next to a goat farm, where two Great Pyranees are on the job full time. Despite the fact that we have plenty of coyotes, our neighbor never loses goats to them. And another friend who raises sheep used to lose 5 or 6 a year to coyotes until she got a Maremma a few years ago, and she hasn't lost one since. I hope that this is the solution to your coyote problem!

ReplyDeleteYes, do cuddly them. There is no reason not to at all. Just so they don't get confused, you want to do it in their working space.
ReplyDeleteI raise sheep and other critters, as well as having a LGD protector and an English Shepherd.
LGDs need love too. In case you don't know about it - lgd.org has some great resources as well as a wonderful list. I don't own shares or in anyway profit by posting that. But I've been very grateful to that list many times over.
