  4. I think I have a new favorite. Add an animal to this shot, and I'm sold. Love it.

  5. Great shot - how much land do you have? I have such envy after living in the suburbs for that last few years.

  6. That photo makes me want to be a kid again back home on the farm! Thanks for the trip down memory lane!

  7. How about a picture of you on that swing, in a cotton dress, with a straw hat blowing off your head and freeing your long locks of hair to the breeze?

    Or such as that.

  8. Hi Everyone,
Well, so many people said the photos of the swing were some of their favorites the other day, that I figured I'd go ahead and post another one, even though I put up this one not too long ago. Sounds like I made the right choice. So glad you all enjoyed it.

    Clare,
    Great minds think alike!

    Kristi,
It's interesting (and wonderful) how many critters do make their uninvited way into my pictures (like this one for example). In fact, you might see another one tomorrow. . .

    Joe,
We have 240 acres, but since we're surrounded by forest and no other farms, the dogs think it's more like a thousand. Bear the tire chaser takes off at top speed (barking madly) after every 'intruder' we meet up on the ridge road above the farm where we walk every day--and that's definitely not part of our property. : )

    Hi Pablo,
So, um, how exactly did you access our personal photo album?

  9. Well, I guess coming to the Farm photo at the end of the day is better than not at all! I agree w/Clare--i think this one would work great through the seasons. And remember, lots and lots of fall foilage pics, please! That's a special request. :)

  10. Mmm, I wish I was on that swing, just swinging my time away. Right now I'm typing my time away while I really have to get going now to see my twins win their soccer game...have to get showered and dressed first I guess... It is not that bad, remember I'm in a different time zone! And not a native speaker so pls be patient with any misses in English ;-)

  12. Hi Amy,
Your special request has been noted. Fall foliage pics coming up! Don't know how good the show will be this year, though, as our rainfall has been very quirky. But I'm sure I'll be able to find something colorful for you to feast your eyes on. : )

    Hi Baking Soda,
Twins!? Oh my. Hope they won the game. And your English is excellent, by the way. I am in constant awe of the visitors and bloggers I 'meet' who speak two (or more!) languages fluently.

    Hi Kitchenmage,
I figured it out! I figured it out! The NotExactlySecret if over at your blog!

  13. That should, of course, be 'is' over at your blog! : )

But why are you still reading this? Why haven't you gone over to see the secret? Oh, I know. I didn't put in the direct link. Okay, there. You can go now.

  14. I must admit I had fun with the announcement, thought I should pay homage correctly since I know who inspired me...

December 2015 update: Hi! For some reason I can't figure out, Blogger hasn't been letting me leave comments on my own blog (!) for the last several months, so I've been unable to respond to your comments and questions. My apologies for any inconvenience! You're always welcome to email me: farmgirlfare AT gmail DOT com.

Hi! Thanks for visiting Farmgirl Fare and taking the time to write. While I'm not always able to reply to every comment, I receive and enjoy reading them all.

Your feedback is greatly appreciated, and I especially love hearing about your experiences with my recipes. Comments on older posts are always welcome!

Please note that I moderate comments, so if I'm away from the computer it may be a while before yours appears.

I try my best to answer all questions, though sometimes it takes me a few days. And sometimes, I'm sorry to say, they fall through the cracks, and for that I sincerely apologize.

I look forward to hearing from you and hope you enjoy your e-visits to our farm!
